Remember that one time I promised to become a more consistent blogger? I failed. But really, who’s surprised?
Last Wednesday I (with nine other students) flew into Brussels, Belgium. We then took a train to Verviers, Belgium where we will be “studying” for three months. I wish I could adequately describe how much I am in love with Europe. Let’s be honest, I love a lot of little things in this world: chocolate milkshakes, books, chai tea, sunshine, trees, Parks & Rec., John Mayer, Gavin DeGraw, good music in general, sweet tea, the color pink, etc. If you were to take all of that goodness, put it in a cup and drink it through a straw, that’s how wonderful this place is. We’ve only been here for a week, but we’ve already traveled to Brussels, Aachen (Germany), and Amsterdam. Tomorrow we leave for Rome and will travel to Florence, Venice, and Tivoli.
Being in a foreign country (unable to speak the language) I have found myself even more dependent on God and his protection. He’s giving me this huge desire of my heart and I pray that I use it to be a blessing to everyone I meet in Europe.
